PTLA Committees

Are you interested in serving on a committee of the PA Tourism & Lodging Association? If so, please review this list of committees below and use the official committee sign-up form to communicate your interest to us.

| Individuals will be appointed by the committee chairman. There is a maximum number of members for each committee. Most committees meet 2 to 4 times a year. Those who miss two consecutive meetings may be asked to step down. |

1. ASSOCIATE MEMBER COMMITTEE
Evaluates, develops, and makes recommendations on how to better represent and serve the interests of associate members through educational programs, networking, and communications.
2. ATTRACTIONS COMMITTEE
Evaluates, develops, and makes recommendations on how to better represent and serve the interests of attraction members through educational programs, networking, and communications.
3. FOOD & BEVERAGE CONFERENCE COMMITTEE
Plans annual Food & Beverage Conference program including topics, speakers, and theme. Promotes Conference to PTLA members and non-members.
4. HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT & HUMAN RESOURCES CONFERENCE COMMITTEE
Plans annual Hospitality Management & Human Resources Conference program including topics, speakers, and theme. Promotes Conference to PTLA members and non-members.
5. HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE
Plans and implements education and information services, recognition programs, and conferences and seminars. Serves as a link to government agencies and recommends positions on state and federal human resources/employment law issues.
6. LIQUOR ISSUES COMMITTEE
Recommends positions on liquor code legislation and PLCB regulatory action affecting the industry.
7. SALES & MARKETING COMMITTEE
Plans annual Sales & Marketing Conference program including topics, speakers, and theme. Promotes Conference to PTLA members and non-members. Recommends positions on legislative issues affecting the industry such as federal per diems, and state allowances.
8. TAX LEGISLATION COMMITTEE
Recommends positions on local and state taxes and regulatory actions affecting the industry such as room taxes, sales taxes, nexus taxes and amusement taxes.
9. UNIQUE LODGING COMMITTEE
Plans and coordinates special projects, educational seminars, and other activities for unique lodging members. Recommends positions on legislative issues affecting innkeepers.
