PTLA's Annual Lodging & Human Resources Conference, “The Changing Face of Hospitality," was held on Tuesday, April 29, at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg East. Following a memorable Spirit of Hospitality Awards Reception the evening before, the Conference opened with breakfast with the Trade Show Exhibitors. Mark V. Lomanno, President of Smith Travel Research, kicked off the event with a look at “The State of the Industry.” His knowledge and insight offered a wealth of information regarding present and coming trends in the industry as influenced by the economy. An extended lunch offered Conference attendees the opportunity to network with the trade show exhibitors and learn of the latest products and services available to the tourism industry. Adding a light-hearted flavor to “The Changing Face of Hospitality” was the Mime, who interacted with attendees and exhibitors during the Trade Show.

Don Landry, principle of Top Ten, a hospitality consulting firm, and former president and COO of Choice Hotels International and CEO of Sunburst Hospitality, closed the Conference with an inspirational and motivating look at “How to Succeed in this Changing Environment”.
